DIY Bubble Quilt or Cookie Quilt Tutorial

For most of us, babysitting is a new full-time challenge. We have to buy and make a lot of baby stuff for them. Today I would like to introduce you to these lovely puff quilts. Each quilt is piece by piece, with a lot of love and patience. Quilting is a fulfilling project that will give you awesome practical results. Quilts are great gifts for friends and relatives, or even just for yourself. But if you’ve done a lot of quilting and feel the need to change it up, it’s time to try bubble quilting! A bubble quilt is quite possibly the best blanket you can make. It’s very warm, fluffy and super easy to make. Even if you have no sewing experience, this type of quilt is still relatively easy to make. You can adjust the size according to your actual needs. This item is recommended as we can even use fabric scraps. Awaiting Ada is an expert in making these and has a great tutorial so we can learn to make our own! You can also check out her improved version.

Material (Reference: size 24×44 no frills waiting for ada, we can change the size according to actual needs)

  • 16 different colors of scrap cloth (if you want to make a rainbow)
  • 1 yard of cheap crappy fabric for puff bottoms (you won’t be able to see them)
  • 1 yard mink
  • 1 1/2 yards of silk fabric for frills
  • some filler

how:

Waiting for Ada to make a bubble quilt for her baby for the first time, by cutting 2 sizes of square fabric and stitching each side of the square and adding fiber filling inside, it looks great, rainbow colors for kids cushions or play mat arrangement.

It’s really time consuming to adjust the squares into place and stitch them by hand, filling in each square bubble and then stitching them together. It’s very inspiring for craft bloggers and many sewing enthusiasts like making history just follow this instruction, it works for small quilts but it’s hard to sew big pieces together.

So she improved and got another new version by sewing the entire top together before filling the puffs, which is easier to sew on a sewing machine and sews a lot of time.

By sewing all the puffs together and adding the backing of the quilt, you can sew extra edges or add ruffles like Ada to make the quilt even more beautiful.

For some reason awaitingada.com doesn’t have a hosting service, if you want to write a tutorial, check out Spruce Crafts from the link here. A bright pink gradient quilt is a great addition to a little girl’s bed.

Or try any combination of bright colors to make it more subtle in the room decor.
