Make beautiful lilies from recycled plastic spoons and bottles
Do you have a lot of plastic spoons after the party? Recycle them and turn them into beautiful and decorative gardens. This water lily is a great DIY recycling project you can try and you can make them into your mini pond or garden decoration. The plastic spoon lily may not be as bright as the corrugated flower, but it has its advantages. Unlike paper, plastic can tolerate damp conditions, so a pretty flower can decorate a small artificial pond. Also, the plastic inlay is resistant to wet cleaning, so it looks better.
Making crafts with plastic spoons requires two sizes of white spoons and a plastic bottle (preferably green).
Materials you may need:
- plastic spoon
- Knife
- hot glue gun
- yellow paint and brush

- Cut off the handles of large and small spoons neatly to make petals.
- To make the center circle of the petals, hot glue the three small spoons together.
- Glue the petals in the circle below, increase the number of spoons, and switch to a larger spoon.
- Do the middle of the flower. Cut a rectangle of plastic from a plastic bottle (dimensions 12 x 2.5 cm). Depending on the size of the water lily, the size of the middle flower may vary. Cut strips along the short sides of the rectangle to the end – it becomes a kind of plastic edge that should be rolled up and hot glued to secure the roll. Paint the edges with yellow.
- Hot glue the middle of a flower, making sure the paint dries completely.
- Use plastic to cut out the leaves of the water lily. It is best to use a plastic bottle green, if not, use clear plastic and paint it green.
- Glue the flowers to the leaves.
