This Guy Performs the Coolest Yet Most Illegal DIY Project Ever

Have you ever heard of moss graffiti? While the name says it all, we were a little confused the first time we heard it. Moss Graffiti is one of the coolest things out there and a really amazing thing to do on a wall. Also known as eco graffiti or green graffiti, moss graffiti uses brushes and moss “paint” that grows on its own instead of spray paint, paint markers, or other such toxic chemicals and paints. It can also be considered another form of guerrilla gardening. Below you can see the Green Moss Doodle, which we think is the best DIY project ever. Any way if it’s in a public place, do so at your own risk. But it could be a nice decoration on your exterior wall. Take a look below (picture via: wikihow) and enjoy.

Collect or buy 3 cups of Moss. Rinse, rinse, rinse off the dirt and dry.

Using an old blender (preferably not the kind you use to blend margaritas), break up the moss into small pieces.

Add 2 cups buttermilk or 2 cups plain yogurt + 2 cups water or 2 cups beer + 1/2 tsp sugar and beat until the mixture is completely smooth and slightly thick like paint.

Add a little corn syrup, a little at a time if the mixture is too thin. Blend until no longer runny.

Pour the mixture into a bucket and grab a paintbrush.

Draw your design on the wall (and keep an eye out for the police just in case).

Moisten your eco-graffiti regularly with a spray bottle filled with water to ensure moss growth.
