5 Easy Home and Office DIY Calendars
This time of year is all about new beginnings and new beginnings. One of the best ways to refresh your routine and prepare for 2016 is to start the new year in an orderly manner! Whether you’re looking to pick up the pieces from last year, get your finances in order, or improve your fitness program, developing your schedule and tracking your goals is the best first step you can take.
Staying organized may not sound very exciting, but it’s not something that a little DIY attitude can’t solve. Check out these five clever calendar ideas that will get you ready for your day without boring you every morning!
1. Blackboard Calendar

Remember how fun it was to write on the blackboard in elementary school? I Spy DIY came up with a calendar idea to have fun every day! Cut thick cardstock into squares or find small square canvases. Paint each square with chalkboard paint. Make sure to make 31 so each month will fit into your calendar! Next, make a title for your month and day. Print it out, color it, or spell it out in sparkling foam letters; get as creative as you want. Put your months at the top, your days in the row below, and your squares in the columns for each day, just like a regular calendar. On the first of each month, number your days. Put all the different colored chalks in a mug next to the customizable blackboard calendar.
2. Paint chips and bulletin board calendars

Looking for an easy way to make cute, colorful calendars without breaking the bank? Do say yes, grab your old bulletin board, some pushpins, and some paint card swatches! Cut out squares in any shade you like and pin them to your bulletin board like a calendar. Bright colors will put you in a good mood every morning, and pins make it easy to move cards around, take notes on them, and rearrange things to your liking!
3. Framed Button Calendar

What better way to use a randomly collected alternate button than to make?keep yourself organized and Level up by using them to create this awesome button calendar from Make: ! Use spray glue to cover the foam board in a fun material, then fit the board into a frame without glass. Glue a pushpin to the back of each button, then paint or glue a number on the front. Organize buttons according to the day of the week of each month. On days when you have a lot to do, write a list and pin it on the board with your buttons!
4. DIY Instagram Calendar

If you’re a crafter and love to wander through memories, try this DIY Instagram Calendar by A Beautiful Mess! Cut 13 thick cards into the shape you want: 1 for the calendar cover and 1 for each month of the year. At the top, punch two holes in each card. Stack them so the holes line up and tie them together with ribbon or string. Print out the calendar for each month (or draw your own!). Next, choose and print 12 pictures that make you happy. Paste pictures and calendar templates so you have a fun picture every month when you open your calendar!
5. DIY Dry Erase Calendar
