There’s no room for debate, tiny house…small and beautiful, very beautiful to live in. Unlike luxury homes that catch the eye with extravagant design, these tiny homes have a story to tell and impress you with their strong personalities. Like this 280-square-foot home in Oregon, it manages to have the best of both worlds.

Not only was this tiny 10-foot by 20-foot, 15-foot-tall home built for a smaller environmental footprint and lower maintenance costs, it was a perfect fit for its owner, builder and former Christian preacher Chris Heininge. The entire design of the house was inspired by the time Heininger spent in small but well-designed homes in Japan. Although it looks small, it has a spacious living room, a kitchenette with a small dining area, and a stunning 1,500-watt electric fireplace hidden under the stairs.
The house currently sells for $70,000. Heininge made sure it would fit on a 20-foot flatbed trailer, so he made sure to build it so the attic wall and ceiling panels could fold down.
