4 Easy Barista Favorite Coffee Recipes You Can Make at Home

If you’re a coffee lover, you’ll agree that making your favorite mug at home is convenient and affordable, both in time and in your wallet. But can you replicate the coffee you drink at your favorite coffee shop? The answer is yes, you absolutely can.

4 Easy Barista Favorite Coffee Recipes You Can Make at Home

Here are some barista-style coffee recipes you can try at home, especially if you have a coffee maker!

Strong coffee

This Italian drink is probably the most popular type of coffee among coffee lovers. In addition to being highly concentrated, espresso is often used as the base for other barista-favorite blends, including lattes, cappuccinos, and americanos. As long as you have a quality espresso machine like the Smeg, you’re good to go. Depending on your coffee preferences, you may also need a milk frother or steamer. Here’s an easy recipe to get you started making espresso at home.

program:

  1. Grind the right amount of roasted coffee. 9 grams should be enough for a single shot.
  2. Place the coffee grounds in the espresso machine basket and use the tamper to press lightly but firmly to fully compress.
  3. Put the espresso basket back in the machine and press the start button to shoot. In about 30 seconds, you should have an espresso with a frothy crema and rich flavor. Consider adding sparkling milk to make a latte.

pure white

This is another great barista-style coffee that you can make at home if you have a good coffee maker. By simple definition, imagine a coffee that combines espresso with steamed milk. The resulting drink is similar to a café-style cappuccino, just without its characteristic foam.

program:

To make a nice flat white at home:

  1. Follow the previous steps to make espresso.
  2. Steam the milk to around 60 degrees Celsius and gently swirl the milk around the jug to give it a smooth, velvety finish. Gently tapping the sides of the kettle will help remove excess air bubbles.
  3. Add the frothed milk to the espresso to form a floating crema on top.
  4. Pour it into your favorite coffee mug and enjoy!

mocha

Mocha is another great coffee drink that you don’t need to have barista skills to make. To make this coffee bar a favorite, all you need is a good coffee or espresso machine, a steamer, coffee beans, milk, and some chocolate.

program

  1. Using the coffee machine, make about 35ml of espresso and pour into the bottom of the cup. Mix with a few scoops of drinking chocolate until the resulting drink is completely smooth.
  2. Using the steamer attachment, steam some milk until it forms about 5cm on top. Hold the spout about 4 cm above the cup and pour the milk smoothly. As the contents of the cup increase, bring the jug as close to the beverage surface as possible, centered.
  3. Once the milk jug almost touches the surface of the coffee, tilt the milk jug to speed up the pour. As you speed up, the milk hits the back of the cup and starts to fold on itself, creating a pattern on the top.

cold brew

This is one of the easiest ways to make coffee without special equipment. You simply run water through freshly roasted, ground coffee beans to create a full-flavored coffee, minus the bitterness. It’s a great way to stay cool in the heat while getting that energy boost you need from your favorite cup of joe.

program:

  1. In a large pitcher or jar, pour about 400ml of cold water and add the coffee grounds without stirring. Cover and let stand for 24 hours to soak.
  2. Gently stir the mixture and strain it using a funnel or sieve into another large pot lined with a coffee filter or kitchen paper (or kitchen paper). The concentrate will keep for two to three days in the refrigerator.
  3. To serve, mix 1 part cold brew coffee with 2 parts soda or still water, taste and pour over ice.

Coffee is undoubtedly the most popular drink for a number of reasons. The benefits are even more if you can make it at home. Thankfully, now you have some recipes you can try for a decent and delicious cup of joe every time you need it.
