Supplies you need
It’s more about the tools for the job than the actual materials, so in addition to the actual jeans you’re ready to get rid of, you’ll need:
- Scissors
- sewing machine
- sewing thread and needle
- pin
- fabric

Denim Tote Bag: Tutorial
- Cut the legs of the old jeans a few inches below the back pocket
- Take the remaining spare material and cut a piece of fabric for the bottom of the new tote bag
- Sew the lining into the bag using the material of your choice.You can also decide to add pockets and separate sections for different items
- Be sure to sew the zipper and any other buttons – you don’t want these opening and spilling the contents of the bag!
- Use two strips of fabric of your choice to make two straps for the bag, then secure and sew them in place.
- Go show it off to your friends!
