The DIY penny table that steals the show!

The best part is that you can use the same technique to create a penny-top coffee table or even a truly unique dining table that is nowhere near as formal as what you have. So let’s get started with a DIY penny desk –
Materials you need:
- $25 penny box or a load of pennies
- stain remover
- wooden desk
- glue
- bar top epoxy
- blowtorch and some clips
Making one of these tables is not an overnight thing, it takes a lot of time and effort. But spread this process out for a week or two in your spare time and it looks a lot easier. Start by polishing the pennies with stain remover, then carefully glue them to the top of the table surface.

You can choose to shine some and leave some as-is for a cool contrast to the tabletop. Some pennies at the curved table edge are the tricky part, so if you don’t like it, leave it out. Your penny table will still look just as stunning without this extra touch.
Once the pennies are in place, it’s time to put the epoxy on. Epoxy coatings take a few days to cure, so it’s best to do this project in an area of the home that has the least dust or disturbance. Now take out the blowtorch to remove air bubbles from the epoxy surface and you’re almost done.
