DIY Cement Lace Doily Planter Tutorial

πŸ–₯️

We’ve had some home decor tablecloth projects before and today we’re sharing another new and different way to reuse those crochet tablecloths you’ve been laying around the house, you can soak them in cement to create a unique personal Home or garden planter decoration.

Main supplies you will need:

  • tablecloth.
  • Concrete Bonding Additives
  • Portland cement (not concrete or mortar)
  • dust mask
  • mold
  • Other cement work supplies

how:

First, prepare any shape container you want, such as a plate or bowl, and cover the bottom with paper and plastic sheeting (plastic wrap works too).

  1. Sift 5 parts Portland cement into a container, add water and mix until there are no lumps.
  2. Add 1 part Concrete Bonding Additive.
  3. Start by adding about half of the water and mix.
  4. When the mixture looks like bats, it’s time to put your doilies in, making sure to soak both sides thoroughly.
