Seems CDs are out, except for those willing to keep some for old memories. While we don’t want them to take up extra space, they can be used more efficiently. Repurposing them for new home projects to decorate can be a great way to get the most out of them instead of throwing them away.

As Instructables user Swapnal shares, you can turn your old CDs into dazzling canvases for your wall art that look amazing. Paint the back of the CD with a dark paint color of your choice and allow to dry. You can use the pencil to trace out any pattern you like (a mandala is perfect for a circle). If you’re not that artistic, don’t worry, print out the pattern and try it out.

Scrape away the paint along the pencil marks to reveal the original metal of the CD.

It looks cool, but it does require patience. You can add smaller scratches for a more detailed effect.
