DIY Your Own Homemade Gummy Bears

Gummy bears never really seem to catch on since their introduction in 1922; the treats have inspired many other gummy shapes, but most of us prefer to stick with the original trendsetter. They were actually invented by a German named Hans Riegel, who left his job as a confectioner in Bonn to start his own company: Haribo. The name is an abbreviation of Hans Riegel from Bonn. The gummy bears became an instant hit and became Haribo’s name. You’ll love making your own homemade fudge with the kids as I do. It’s fun and you can adjust the sugar yourself. (Kids love sweets and parents do worry about their teeth at their age). Here’s an easy recipe to make your own gummy; and you can get rid of the mold by choosing your own Gummy MoldDIY Your Own Homemade Gummy Bears various shapes.

The ingredients you need are:

  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 2 tablespoons (20 grams) plain unflavored gelatin
  • 1 packet flavored gelatin or jelly/jelly mix (85g)

route:

  1. Combine the ingredients on the stove and let it simmer for about 10 minutes so that all the ingredients are dissolved and well mixed together.
  2. Let it cool in a glass container, then pour the mixture into molds. After 15 minutes in the refrigerator, you’ll have your own fudge.

If you want to turn these into grown-up party snacks, soak the fudge in vodka. Pour them into a container, pour in enough vodka to submerge them all, cover and let sit in the refrigerator for three to five days. You’ll be hooked on drunken “drunk gummies” on instructables.find them here.
