Sliding doors are becoming increasingly popular in modern house design as well as in bathrooms, kitchens, wardrobes and storage rooms. It can save you a lot of space and you can add a mirror or painting as a multifunctional element of home decoration. This DIY sliding door project will make it easier for you and your budget to do it yourself instead of hiring a carpenter to do the whole thing. Follow the step-by-step instructions to transform something like a mirrored sliding wardrobe door into a door that really looks great. Don’t forget to install small rubber “stops” on wooden blocks screwed to the floor so the door doesn’t swing out in the room. You can try it yourself by following some of the tutorials below.

First, he took a piece of double rail (the kind that fits on top of mirrored sliding wardrobe doors) and split it in half – so instead of two rails, there was only one.
