πŸ“±

Whether you or your kids have sweatshirts lying around or hidden so deep in your closet that you almost forgot they were there, they serve as a reminder of all your good and proud memories. Rather than letting it pile up and take up space, you can actually reuse them into some simple and treasured little keepsakes, like this DIY Sweatshirt Canvas Art from Goodwill Gal, so you can use this clever and A creative way to decorate your room with memories.

Supplies you will need:

  • canvas
  • heavy duty stapler
  • Scissors
  • clamp

how:

  1. Slide the jersey onto the canvas and position accordingly.
  2. Cut off the sleeves, neckline, and back section (or front – whichever you won’t be showing), but leave at least 2 inches of fabric on the sides that you’ll pin to the back of the canvas.
  3. Wrap the fabric around the back wood portion of the canvas and staple – start at the top, then pull and straighten the jersey and staple the bottom; do the same for the sides. If anything goes wrong, you can use pliers to remove the staples.
  4. Cut off excess fabric.
  5. For the corners, tuck one piece of fabric neatly under the other and staple it in place – repeat for each corner.
