DIY Corn Husk Flowers
Today I want to share with you a new material – corn husks to make flowers. Because the pattern of corn husks is similar to crepe paper, but stronger and easily torn into small pieces, we have the flexibility to use them in our production.
Materials needed for this post:
For Cosmos and Daisies:
- Card stock (for stencils)
- Dried corn husks (available at craft stores and Mexican food stores)
- tissue
- Scissors
- Flat head scissors
- Wire, 18 and 32 gauge
- dried corn kernels
- butter knife
- Varnish
- white glue
- tweezers
- Brown Floral Tape
sunflower:
- Card stock (for bases and templates)
- dried corn kernels
- hot glue gun
- tweezers
- corn husk
- Scissors
- wire, 18 gauge
- Wooden Dowel, 1/4″ Diameter
- White Floral Tape
