DIY Fairy House Flower Tea Light Tutorial Using Balloons

It’s great to have some crafting fun with the kids, especially if they like fairytale projects because my girls love these girly things. Remember the DIY Mason Jar Fairy Lantern tutorial (video)? So happy to turn trash into treasure, and now I’m sharing another fairy lamp that was reused from trash, recycled paper. You can make this fairy house lantern using a balloon as a base and some cardboard for clay and color. It’s a creative way to teach kids about recycling and to spark their imaginations too.

Start by making paper clay out of cardboard. It’s super easy to make because we only use two ingredients: cardboard and PVA glue (commonly known in the US as wood glue, white glue, carpenter’s glue, school glue, Elmer’s glue). After the paper clay dries, glue on some cardboard details like flower petals and leaves, then color in with the kids. It looks fun and great as a night light.Image Credit: Creative Mom
