DIY Pears in Puff Pastry
DIY Pears in Puff Pastry
π±
This pear in puff pastry is super easy to make and perfect for snack time. What a lovely idea to serve dessert with fresh fruit baked in puff pastry. You can change pears to apples or other fruits that can be baked.
The whole process is simple, all we have to do is cut a fresh sweet pear in half, remove the core, and slice evenly on top. Gently roll out the puff pastry, run a knife over the pear, and cut off the excess, set back half an inch from the edge of the pear. Grease the dough with beaten eggs and a pinch of sugar. Sprinkle cane sugar over entire dough and pears (inside of cut). Bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes until golden brown. Take it out to serve. For better flavor, add the caramel sauce just before serving.
