Onion rings are a popular fried item we can see on restaurant menus, while bacon is another favorite for meat lovers. When onions meet bacon, whether it’s fried or grilled, it absolutely makes us drool. Here’s a great video by David Hughes that takes the snack time classic to another level entirely by wrapping bacon around onion rings. It’s easier than it sounds and super delicious, perfect for your next party!

route:

1. Cut the onion into rings and each slice of bacon into two slices.
2. Wrap the first piece of bacon tightly around the onion ring. Repeat with the second piece until the onion is completely covered.
3. Repeat the above steps for all onion rings.
4. Cook on the smoker or grill until the bacon is crisp, about 30 minutes. In the video, they use a smoker at about 285 degrees Fahrenheit.
