The Vertical Laundry Basket Strawberry Planter is probably one of the best and easiest vertical planters you can use to grow your own strawberries at home, you can make and keep strawberries off the ground in your garden in minutes. I’ve seen many ways to do it with strawberries, and this project is really easy to make and a great way to reuse plastic laundry baskets that usually end up in the trash. This instructional video from Laura’s answer on Youtube Channel Garden proves that a cheap laundry basket from a local discounter can make an attractive strawberry planter. Use some burlap, burlap, landscape fabric, or trash bags to line the inside of the laundry basket to hold the soil in place and retain soil moisture. Add plants and flowers to make the planters (Monardas, Gold Dust and Petunias in the video) more integrated with the garden, but you can also grow strawberries or vegetables directly. You can also stack dollar store find baskets and stack them.
