We’ve always been big fans of scrapbooking and journaling. Calling us old-fashioned, but being careful to preserve our memories is just nostalgia and beauty. We are also big fans of organization, so sorting through our experiences and adventures has been a very satisfying process.Well, you might not be surprised, we’ve been keeping travel scrapbook for many years! Every time we travel with friends or family, we collect all kinds of trinkets, photos, postcards and ticket stubs and organize them in a way that we can save and recall at any time.

1. Mini Travel Album

Have you ever made several different kinds of scrapbooks before but you are a bit overwhelmed when it comes to storing them because many of the basic books you can buy custom made are very large and you don’t know where to store such a large scrapbook of? Then maybe you would actually prefer to make a miniature version like this cute little book from our mini family! Are you a photographer, or at least a photo lover, always bringing home countless photos of your favorites for vacation, and you’re having a hard time choosing which ones to include in your scrapbook? So why not create a travel scrapbook design that’s a lot heavier than the images we’ve shown you so far? You can, of course, put your photos in a standard store-bought photo album, but Athletes Abroad recommends arranging the photos into a collage and printing nicely designed pages that you can hold together with free-floating rings for flipping. This design also allows you to link things like ticket stubs and postcards to the book without losing it.

Rather than printing something or sticking it on decorations, would you rather keep things simple and personal with less unnecessary glitter? Do you have a favorite photo from your most recent trip that really stands out above all the others, and you want to make sure it takes a shiny center spot in your travel scrapbook? So why not print that photo big and nice and write it on a full page? We love the way Kerrie Gurney overlays their photos on some patterned fabric, trimmed with strips of fabric cut, lace, and glued to the lettering for a snapshot level.

Do you have a postcard or two from your last trip, but actually collect the most for events, concerts or admissions?In this case, here is a Very A cool technique that combines the two that lets you show them all, put them all in place, and make them easy to navigate when you’re feeling nostalgic. Paper Chase shows you how to glue postcards from some sides, but leave others loose so you can slide your tickets underneath and let the postcards act like pockets to hold them in place.
