Children are fascinated by helicopters, planes, rockets and other objects that can fly. If you want your kids to still have fun but don’t want to pay extra for it, there are unique eco-friendly toys you can make at home. DIY plastic bottle helicopter is a perfect example
Making a miniature model of a helicopter is a great way to use art to complement the concept of gravity or mode of transport. Building a helicopter from recycled items around your home, like plastic bottles, isn’t expensive. It teaches kids to be imaginative and models easy ways to reuse and recycle.
what do you need:
- Plastic bottle (with cap)
- straw
- pingpong
- hot glue
- Scissors
- pin
- stapler
direction:
1. Cut off the top of the plastic bottle.
2. Poke a hole with scissors and insert a straw into the hole for the tail of the helicopter.
3. Cut a strip from the plastic bottle and bind it with two straws as shown.
4. Nail the strip to the top of the bottle to complete the body of the helicopter.
5. Cut two straws, stack them vertically, and pin them to the top of the helicopter. You can use hot glue to hold the pins in place.
6. Use hot glue to place and secure the ping pong ball in the open part.View in gallery
