Gorgeous Lace Cutout Crafts
I talk a lot about decoupage in my DIY post. It’s just a versatile crafting skill, almost essential. There are so many different ways to cut paper, so many different looks can be achieved, so many different projects can be made.Even so, it can be good real Change up your favorite crate technique every once in a while, just to keep things interesting. That’s how I started doing material decoupage, but recently I found a way to go a step further! Lace tailoring has stolen my craftsman’s heart and I can barely restrain myself from sticking it to every surface in my home.

1. Lace flower pot

Few things are cuter than some fresh, colorful flowers in a crisp white planter on a sunny windowsill. At least, that’s what I thought, until I saw the idea of a fancy decoupage lace pot! 2. Vintage Weathered Lace Pot

Lace decoupage projects don’t have to be pretty and delicate! Sometimes it’s nice to have a retro aesthetic in a fashionable way. This project on Pinterest shows you how to trim the top of a flower pot with a piece of lace that you intentionally broke and painted to look like it’s already at home and regularly filled with new flowers over the years.

Storage jars may not be a very critical aspect of your decor, but that doesn’t mean they have to be completely boring too! If you use lace decoupage on the exterior of a simple glass jar in a bathroom, vanity or crafting area, it can add a lovely bit of character and vibrancy to your space. Find some very thin thin lace and try edging the table like Patioelf did here! The smaller the lace, the less likely you are to grab the edge and degumm it while using the table. I love the texture it adds to the room.

Wine bottles are definitely one of my favorite things to upcycle because they are so versatile and they make amazing vases that cost almost nothing other than what you already spend. Are you a big Halloween fan, but aren’t too interested in gutting a squishy pumpkin? Even if your aesthetic is more feminine and refined than some, you can still get into the spirit of things! I love the way Positively Splendid chose to paint and cut these pumpkins to make the lace stand out against the white. You can also invert this color scheme for a neat shadow effect!

Are you the kind of person who likes to keep trinkets and keepsakes so you can look back at them when you’re nostalgic? Then you obviously need a special place to put things! I like to carefully craft a cute keepsake box for myself instead of throwing everything into a random shoebox. As you may have guessed, I also love the way Craft Tutorials decorated this cute little box with colorful lace decoupage.

I didn’t, but then I saw this colorful layered shade design from Jaderbomb and now all the lights in my house are probably about to get a makeover. Pick a background color that you think will stand out nicely when you place the pumpkin on your porch, and cut out the lace pieces and shapes you like. Create a pattern or embellish them all over the place and cut them out!

If you’ve made material decoupage from other fabrics before, then you’ve probably seen this plate technique. However, I can tell you that even though I’ve made this with bright fabrics before, I’ve never thought of using lace instead!
