Best of all, this is the perfect project to utilize the scrap paper and cards that every household already has! Even with a pile of old newspapers and a few cereal boxes, whipping up these delightful decorating styles is a piece of cake!

Environmentally friendly process

The only supplies needed to make one or more of these dahlia wreaths are:

cardboard backing
paper for main floral details
sharp scissors
Craft glue or glue gun
any added decorative elements
paint (optional)

View in galleryYou can of course go out and buy yourself the paper and cards you need, but we prefer to use old cereal boxes for cards and whatever paper we can find around the house. If you choose to use newspaper…we highly recommend…you may want to invest in the paint of your choice to give it a wonderful burst of color.

We also highly recommend trying out a variety of different shapes and sizes. The basic designs you see here are great for learning the technology, but there’s nothing better than letting your creativity run wild!
