View in galleryThese butterflies are very pretty and are made of silk, satin or organza. They make great decorations, and it’s best to use leftover fabric.

As you know there are many ways to make a butterfly such as Bead Butterfly, Plastic Butterfly, Crochet Butterfly…the butterflies can be used as gift tags, brooches, bobby pins, hats, or decorations for baby boots…I wanted to make some for my daughter’s drapery and it would be a great addition to her room.

This Fabric Butterfly Tutorial by Andrea is easy, check out the link and you can learn how to make simple petals first, then learn how to make multi-layered petals for the most beautiful handmade butterflies. In order to make these beautiful butterflies, you will need:

-Silk, Satin or Organza
-Silicone glue gun
– a little feeling
-brooches, bobby pins or any other accessories;
– Bun hair clips for antennae or some styling lines;
– Large scissors or tweezers.
