The simple glass votive is wrapped with black lace trim (this type of lace can be found in the ribbon section and sold in the yards of most craft and fabric stores.).
Grab a yard or two of black lace trim and cut a strip that covers the perimeter of the votive candle. Using the needle and black thread, overlap the edges and make small stitches to hold in place.
