The kids love the swings, and so do I! Hammock swings provide a gentle rocking motion for relaxation. You can make your own hammock for the deck.

Last Christmas my family visited a theme park called Xel-ha in Cancun, Mexico, which has a hammock area. My kids and family love it so much we plan to make one for the backyard. Here, we dug up this step-by-step tutorial and wanted to share it with you. Check out the link below for full instructions for those who want to try the program. Tutorial by Littledogvintage. what do you need
- 2.5 to 3 yards thick canvas fabric
- Grommet tool and at least 20 grommets
- 2 hardwood beams 1.25″ thick x 2″ wide x length of hammock width
- Drill bits and 1/2 inch drill bits
- 100 feet of quarter-inch cotton rope
- 2 large metal “O” rings
