Making butterfly footprints is a fun experience. It becomes even more enjoyable if you involve your baby or child in this simple canvas work. Anyone who likes to bring homemade gifts for someone celebrating a special occasion will love this unique piece of art.
Materials used include rainbow ink pads, cardstock, markers, and photo frames. Of course, keep in mind that you’ll also need your baby or child’s wiggling feet. Rainbow pads are non-toxic, so they are generally safe to use on babies.
Make sure your baby or child is in a good mood so your butterfly footprint doesn’t lead to a very confusing color combination. Once you’re done printing those chubby feet, just hold them still before slowly pressing the color markers onto the card stock.
When the footprint is beautifully imprinted, you can use your creativity to place the antenna and, if you decide to keep it, your baby’s name. Otherwise, you can choose to write the name of the person who will receive this awesome gift.
