Wonderful DIY Label Pop Ring Flower
This is one of the best first-time crochet projects for anyone just getting started – a gorgeous little DIY pop ring flower that you can piece together in minutes! You’ll find a million and one uses for these upcycled flowers, which means you’ll no doubt find yourself making dozens at a time – perfect for practicing the amazing art of crochet!

As you can see, this is a really cool way to put soda can labels to good use that would otherwise just end up in the trash – we just love one that lets you make something special out of nothing s project!
what do you need
As far as the supply list goes, it’s really not that big of a deal:
- Six soda pull tabs
- crochet thread
- Scissors
- lighter
- wire cutters
- crochet

- Pull a bunch of labels out of a soda can that is in good condition and has no real sharp edges. If anything is sharp or protruding, use wire cutters to cut it off.
- Use a series of crochet stitches to sew the label on the thin side of the label as shown in the photo above. When you have six tabs in a row, complete the circle as shown.
- You can then fill in the circle in the center with the same colored yarn that you used to connect the labels so far.
- The next stage is to add the color of your choice to the flower’s “petals,” which in this case are the other end of the soda can label. Use the same color or any other color of your choice.
- Once you’ve made a circle, here’s an easy example of using a single stitch to connect the last petal to the first.
